Return to Japan

It had been 2 years 3 months and 15 days since I was last in Japan. Thank God finally I was back in May 2022. The country hasn’t changed that much, which was encouraging. Great food, polite people and all old friends who were so eager to see me and treat me to the best experiences they could conjure up after such a hiatus.

The last day before I flew back to Paris, me and my good old photo-walk partners, Minami-san and Yoshida-san, went to Kamakura. It’s Ajisai season and luckily it was not too crowded, mostly because the country was not yet fully opened. We had a great time. It’s also the first time I shot Japan in films. And God it was awesome. Perfect match between Portra400 and the blazing sun of the Shonan area. I look forward to come back to shoot more films!
